Recently I had the chance to help mentor a group of awesome high school students who are involved as youth animators for the National Catholic Youth Conference. (Youth animators are young people who lead prayer, song, and movement from the NCYC main stage.)

The students worked hard and had a good time. So did the 11 vocation directors!

It was easy to love the experience, as the students were filled with faith and love of God.

It was also exciting to discover that one of the students used to attend St. Pius in Cedar Rapids, my old school!

In all, it was a uplifting to the vocation directors to spend time with Catholic youth so devoted to God.

We have a wonderful future to look forward to, with future leaders like them!
