Retreat is
A gift from a loving God,
Days set apart
Given to re-create
a new Spirit within me.

Sacred time and space
To reflect,
meditate,
contemplate
God’s inexhaustible love for me.

A time to express sorrow
for missing the mark.
A resolve to keep focused
as a God Seeker.

A time for silence to be able to
listen with the ear of the heart,
the whisper of the Holy Spirit.

A time to express gratitude
For all I have  received is GIFT.
May my monastic life be a
prayer of thanksgiving.
